Today we have many choices in everything we do, including childbirth. What do you really know about childbirth? Is childbirth a rite of passage? Is this a life-changing event? How much time and thought do want to invest on your journey into childbirth and parenting?

These private classes offer a combination of the traditional obstetrical childbirth preparatory information, as found through many local hospitals, as well as presenting the spiritual and holistic aspects of birth. Using "Birthing From Within" style teaching principals these classes will guide you to discover your inner knowledge and innate abilities as you journey into childbirth and parenting.

Andrea's Class Schedule 2007

I am currently teaching childbirth classes through Parenting and Breastfeeding Services
held at Good Samaritan Hospital.  These hospital based classes have a strong influence of the
Birthing From Within teaching style as well as addressing the culturally typical hospital birth.

I am confident that both “main stream” and “alternative” mindsets will gain knowledge, insight
and confidence for their birthing experience. 

I feel the 12 hour classes offered in a 4 or 6 week series are the most useful and beneficial.
However, there is also a one day, 7 hour, class for those who choose a “cram course”.

I will continue to teach Saturday express classes into 2008

I am also available to provide private, in home, childbirth instruction.
I suggest a minimum of a 4 hour session.  I also suggest you consider
a 6 to 8 hour session, possibly split in two sessions.

 These sessions include video, lecture and hands on and
are personalized to your needs at $45 an hour.

Birthing From Within Classes 2006

Rosanna Davis is currently offering the complete series using this methodology in Palo Alto.

Private Childbirth Classes 

I offer private Childbirth Classes in your home at $45 per hour.
I suggest two 4 hour sessions or a minimum of at least a one 4 hour session.   

Some couples have gathered one or two other expecting couples and hosted
a small childbirth class in their home (hourly charge modified).

 I am happy to customize a Childbirth class for you.  Please feel free to inquire.
